Rhinoceroses have been hunted to near extinction for their horn, comprised of compressed hair. It is believed by some cultures to possess aphrodisiac qualities. Within the sculpture are rocks dating back to the rhinos beginning. Sadly it is highly likely this sculpture will out last the rhinos

wow this is an amazing peice of work!

I used to volunteer for the Virginia Zoo in Norfolk VA and I worked on the string with the rhinos...amazing creatures. They liked to have the skin behind their ears petted and also under the folds of skin on their legs. So thick and yet so amazingly soft in those spots.

Beautiful piece.
